Position Overview

Pantheon Data is seeking a candidate with knowledge and experience in Marine Engineering/ Maritime Acquisitions. The candidate will work directly with the United States Coast Guard reviewing technical and financial documents relative to marine systems and components for surface acquisitions. The candidate will resolve technical issues and manage information generated through the design and construction phases of vessel acquisition projects. The candidate will also prepare reports and related documentation and create charts and graphs to record results.

Responsibilities

• Conduct technical and financial studies for proposed vessels based on operational requirements.
• Recommend compromises or trade-offs to achieve capabilities in accordance with validated set(s) of requirements.
• Analyze, evaluate and develop procurement specifications and relevant reports and test data associated with naval architecture and maritime acquisition.
• Draft technical papers, studies, and reports.
• Update specifications, SOWs, CDRLs, etc., to adjudicate technical issues.

Required Skills

• A BS Degree plus 12 years of relevant experience; MS plus 12 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Minimum of 4 years supporting acquisition programs, preferably Coast Guard and/or Navy.
• Working knowledge of ABYC and ABS standards
• Excellent written/oral professional communication skills.
• Detail oriented.

Clearance Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain USCG suitability.

Work Location

• Hybrid - 3 days at USCG HQ St. Elizabeths Campus; 2 days telework
