DHA Overview
The Defense Health Agency (DHA) is a joint, integrated Combat Support Agency that enables the Army, Navy, and Air Force medical services to provide a medically ready force and a ready medical force to Combatant Commands during peacetime and wartime. Established to enhance the delivery of integrated, affordable, and high-quality health services, the DHA supports Military Health System (MHS) beneficiaries and drives the integration of clinical and business processes across the MHS. The agency plays a pivotal role in ensuring military personnel and their families receive comprehensive healthcare, thus maintaining operational readiness and overall force health protection.
Position Overview
Pantheon is seeking Business Process Engineering Specialist/Analysts for a major DHA Innovation Program. This position will play a crucial role in analyzing, designing, and optimizing business processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. This role involves working closely with the Program Manager, Project Managers, Clients, and cross-functional teams to identify process improvements, implement best practices, and support the successful delivery of program goals.
Responsibilities
- Analyze current business processes and workflows to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
- Design and implement optimized business processes to enhance program and project performance.
- Develop process maps, flowcharts, and documentation to support process improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with the Program Manager, Project Managers, and workstream leads to ensure alignment of process improvements with program goals and objectives.
- Conduct process improvement workshops and training sessions for team members and stakeholders.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented process changes, making adjustments as needed.
- Assist in the development and implementation of business process management (BPM) tools and methodologies.
- Prepare and present process improvement reports, updates, and recommendations to senior leadership and other stakeholders.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by promoting best practices and innovative solutions.
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards, regulations, and policies related to business process engineering.
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in business process engineering, process improvement, or a related role.
- Strong knowledge of business process engineering methodologies and tools.
- Proficiency in process mapping and modeling software (e.g., Visio, Bizagi, ARIS).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels.
- Knowledge of project management principles and practices.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Experience working within the Department of Defense (DoD) or healthcare industry.
- Certification in process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt).
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and the systems development life cycle (SDLC).
- Experience with business process management (BPM) tools and software.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple process improvement initiatives simultaneously.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with industry trends and advancements.
- Experience with AI/ML a plus.
- AWS (Amazon Web Services) and/or Microsoft Azure knowledge or certification(s) a plus.
- Active DoD CAC or Active DoD Clearance.
Clearance Requirements:
U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust

San Antonio, TX -Remote

Compensation
The salary range for this position is $75,000-115,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
