Position Overview:

We are seeking a QA testing lead with a background in software engineering. A successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing the quality assurance team, ensuring that all products and services meet the company's quality standards. The QA Lead will develop and execute test plans, manage test cases, and track defects. They must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with engineers as well as less technical team members (e.g., project managers, customers, executive teams) to ensure that quality is built into the product development process

Responsibilities:

• Ensure that all feature deliverables meet quality objectives
• Create written and coded/automated test cases
• Document and work with developers to resolve defects
• Design and execute automated QA scripts
• Maintain a strong understanding of current QA process, procedures and best practices to ensure that all QA work is being performed accordingly. Ability to think creatively and adjust to IT and business needs collaboratively to meet project goals.
• Understand and take part in waterfall and agile processes.
• Find potential improvements, best practices and efficiency to test automation process, implement and/or communicate solutions. Demonstrates strong analytical, problem solving and time management skills.
• Supply leadership to ensure automation team is engaged in assessing and providing solutions to overall regression / project test strategies.
• Provide transparency into QA/Automation activities and defect management to project / program leadership.
• Configure and Maintain test environments
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• At least eight (8) years of experience in Functional, Integration, regression, and system testing process and strategy.

• At least five (5) years of experience in leading a QA team for testing in software development projects.
• 4 years minimum experience with testing in software development projects.
• Proven record of driving QA strategy and unification of QA process across teams.
• Previous hands-on experience with robust, scalable, and high-quality test automation solutions for functional, regression, and performance testing.
• Experience in mid-scale or large-scale system development projects (including test automation, test strategy, developing and executing test scripts and test plans)
• Jira knowledge (creating test plans, test cases, defects, dashboards)

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact clearly and succinctly in written and oral presentations.
• Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and organized

Preferred Skills:

• Working knowledge of with SDLC, Waterfall and Agile methodologies
• AWS (Amazon Web Services) and/or Microsoft Azure. Certification(s) a plus.
• Experience using tools such as Pact (contract testing), Cucumber, Selenium, Postman, Swagger etc.
• SQL, relational and non-relational databases

Clearance Requirements

This role requires U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain/maintain Secret clearance.
