DHA Overview

The Defense Health Agency (DHA) is a joint, integrated Combat Support Agency that enables the Army, Navy, and Air Force medical services to provide a medically ready force and a ready medical force to Combatant Commands during peacetime and wartime. Established to enhance the delivery of integrated, affordable, and high-quality health services, the DHA supports Military Health System (MHS) beneficiaries and drives the integration of clinical and business processes across the MHS. The agency plays a pivotal role in ensuring military personnel and their families receive comprehensive healthcare, thus maintaining operational readiness and overall force health protection.


Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Program Manager to oversee a main task order supporting a large innovation program. This role includes managing multiple workstreams and teams to optimize the integration of advanced technology and innovation into healthcare systems. The Senior Program Manager will lead efforts to enhance the healthcare experience for providers and users, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of cutting-edge solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering senior-level briefing reports, overseeing all products and materials for the Group, and ensuring effective communication within and outside the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct support to the Program client in managing senior-level briefing reports and overseeing all delivery products and materials ensuring accuracy, quality, and adherence to organizational standards.
  • As a senior-level support member, you will lead and guide other individuals who will report to you, ensuring cohesive collaboration and productivity within the team.
  • Manage and coordinate operations across cross-functional teams, ensuring efficiency in daily tasks, and contributing to the organization's success.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to drive innovation and technology integration.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment of program and project goals and objectives.
  • Streamline project planning, execution, and monitoring activities to ensure timely delivery of milestones and objectives.
  • Manage resources, budgets, and timelines across multiple project teams.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with project execution and technology implementation.
  • Foster a collaborative environment to encourage idea sharing, innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and policies.
  • Prepare and present reports, updates, and recommendations to senior leadership and other stakeholders.
  • Mentor and support team members, promoting professional development and growth.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration or related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in program management, with a focus on technology integration and innovation.
  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience with federal acquisition and programming.
  • Proven experience managing large, complex projects with multiple workstreams.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft, Atlassian, etc.).
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Knowledge of healthcare systems and technology.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a dynamic environment.

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) or similar certification.
  • Familiarity with the DoD, Military Health System (MHS) and the DHA is highly desired.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and the systems development life cycle (SDLC).
  • Experience with technological innovation and implementation in healthcare settings.
  • Knowledge of relevant standards and regulations, such as HIPAA and FDA guidelines.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with industry trends and advancements.
  • Understanding of advanced technologies and innovative solutions.
  • Working knowledge of Agile Scrum methodologies.
  • Experience with AI/ML a plus.
  • AWS (Amazon Web Services) and/or Microsoft Azure knowledge or certification(s) a plus.
  • Active DoD CAC or Active DoD Clearance.

Clearance Requirements:

U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust  

Work Location:

Falls, Church, VA -Remote

*The Government reserves the right to change where this work will be performed, and light travel may be requested occasionally. Ideal cities and states with access to Government facilities are: Falls Church, VA, Washington, DC, San Antonio, TX, and Aurora, CO


Compensation

The salary range for this position is $135,000 - 190,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
