KGI was founded in 2011, initially providing acquisition and supply chain management services to the US Coast Guard. Position Summary
KGI is seeking a full-time, experienced Technical Recruiter responsible for attaining hiring goals by filling open positions with talented and qualified candidates. The Technical Recruiter is accountable for the full life cycle of the recruiting process. This entails creating job descriptions and salary requirements, sourcing and screening candidates, coordinating the interview process, and facilitating offers and employment negotiations, all while ensuring candidates have a pleasant experience.
The Technical Recruiter will proactively engage with HR and Operational leaders as an SME on talent acquisition, policies, processes, and compliance, foster a strong customer service orientation, provide leadership and work collaboratively and independently at all levels of the organization.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage full cycle technical recruiting for current openings and proposal opportunities on cleared and uncleared contracts.
- Recruit for technical positions requiring certifications and varied clearance levels.
- Direct and execute recruiting strategies to directly impact the company with a strong reputation for hiring top talent and exceptional client delivery.
- Craft compelling job postings and conduct dynamic, informative phone and in-person interviews while partnering with managers.
- Network through industry contacts, association memberships, trade groups, referrals, social media, employees, databases, and other sourcing channels.
- Build strong working relationships with hiring managers and act in a consultative role to determine hiring needs.
- Apply thorough knowledge of full-life cycle recruiting to include job creation, sourcing, screening, and interviewing to fill positions quickly.
- Conduct proactive recruiting to develop a pipeline of qualified candidates in advance of the need.
- Generate a flow of qualified resumes to meet job requirements and maintain a pipeline for future hiring requirements.
- Effectively recommend opportunities for continuous improvement to current processes and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, as well as company policies.
- Other duties as assigned to support the Human Resources team.
Skills/Qualifications
- Must have experience with full cycle technical recruiting in federal government contracting environment.
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills and good negotiation tactics.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate and build relationships with both clients and team members.
- Ability to understand job requirements and effective identify qualified technical candidates and evaluate prior to presenting to the Business Unit Leader.
- Must have a proven track record of developing and executing recruiting strategies.
- Must have a firm grasp of advanced recruiting and sourcing techniques, an ability to improvise, well-developed influencing skills, and a team-player mentality.
- Must have a strong comprehension of OFCCP, EEO, and Affirmative Action regulations and guidelines and know a range of employment laws.
- Ability to quickly adapt and learn new technologies. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Must have the ability to comprehend and explain talent acquisition policies and procedures.
- Must be capable of delivering successful solutions to problems that require creativity, innovation, and resourcefulness.
- Ability to multitask.
- Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software or other recruitment systems.
- Must be able to utilize benchmarking and trending resources to support leaders in effectively determining staffing needs.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and strong math skills are required.
- Good organizational skills are required.
Education/Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field or equivalent work experience.
- At least ten (10) years of managing all phases of the recruitment and hiring process.
- At least five (5) years of experience recruiting technical positions in a federal government contracting environment.
- Experience using web-based recruiting tools, including social media, job boards, and applicant-tracking systems.
- Ability to cold-call and build relationships by phone.
- Ability to demonstrate effect job requirement assessment and evaluate candidates before presenting to the hiring manager or business unit leader.
